My lovely sister-in-law gave Funny a bunch of crafty things for her birthday last week. One of them was a "learn to knit animals" thing. Well, I inwardly groaned at the sight of it. But I'm a good sport (mostly) and I decided to try to tackle it.
Yeah.

Um, what? |
I've never knitted. I used to crochet, because I'm simple like that. I never wanted to knit because, well, I just didn't. And thanks to a dear friend, I dodged the bullet. My wonderful friend Jill agreed to help Funny with her crochet project, and even better, to help her learn to sew. I cannot even begin to tell you how happy this makes Funny! The girl lives to be crafty.
In exchange for teaching services, I get to watch Jill's youngest. It's a good deal, if you ask me.

Here she is being ridiculous under our dinner table. |
Here's Funny with her first knitting project.

No, I can't tell you what she's doing. Casting on? Is that a thing? |
Can you watch my kids so Jill can teach me to knit too?
ReplyDeleteDo they want to learn to cross stitch, too? I think cross stitching should be babysitting both of my youngest, though.
